I have been looking at the latest platform in the gaming world, the PS Vita. The PS Vita is a new handheld gaming system created by Sony. One of the major selling points of this new device is that it offers a 3G option for only $50 more (bringing the price to $300). This option will allow for online gaming almost anywhere you go.
The real question is, “Will it be enough to get gamers to make this purchase?” I don’t expect Sony to sell a lot of these, as perhaps the serious online gamers want to play on a big screen and trash talk on their headsets. The Vita does have the same capabilities as a tablet, but people would rather get these features on a full-sized tablet. The Vita also has two cameras with picture and video taking ability, but lacks in its memory system. 32GB of storage goes for an extra $100. It looks like Sony has created another high-tech gaming device, but it just doesn’t seem worth the money you would be putting into it.
